University of Sussex Digital Twin

The University of Sussex Minecraft Society (Minesoc) is a student-led community bringing Sussex students together through creativity, collaboration, and play. Our flagship project is a detailed 1:1 recreation of the Sussex campus in Minecraft, featured by ITV News and the University of Sussex for its technical scale and community impact.

Alongside the campus build, our public server—running for over two years and welcoming more than 600 students—hosts a variety of gamemodes including Survival, Creative, Minigames, and Events. Whether you’re here to help expand the virtual campus, build with friends, or join community challenges, Minesoc offers a welcoming space for all players.
